A career built on public service, professional integrity, and a genuine commitment to protecting people — from a fire station in East Texas to the front lines of financial crime investigation.
Rodrigo's path into fraud prevention didn't begin in a financial institution — it began with a fire truck. As a young volunteer with the Eastex Fire Department, he learned early what it means to show up for people in their most vulnerable moments. That sense of duty to public service became the foundation everything else was built on.
Over the years, Rodrigo built a career that moved across both public and private sectors — from government service to financial institutions — always with the same focus: protecting people and solving complex problems. Where others saw bureaucracy, he saw an opportunity to make systems work better for the people who depended on them.
"I've always been drawn to the work that matters most to people. Whether that was running into a burning building or running down a fraud scheme — the mission has always been the same."
That commitment to expertise led Rodrigo to pursue some of the most respected credentials in the field. He holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation, the Certified Bank Secrecy Act Professional (CBSAP) certification, and advanced training from Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates — one of the most recognized programs in investigative interviewing and interrogation technique. He has continued building on that foundation throughout his career, pursuing certifications that directly align with the work he does every day.
Fraud Integrity Group is the culmination of that journey — a firm built to bring real investigative experience, professional-grade training, and a genuine commitment to giving back directly to the institutions and individuals who need it most. The FIG Integrity Fund, which returns 10% of all revenue to fraud victims, is a reflection of the same value that started at Eastex: when people are in their worst moment, you show up.
"Fraud doesn't just steal money. It steals trust — and rebuilding that is the work worth doing."— Rodrigo, Founder of Fraud Integrity Group
